Learners show their progress against each of the competencies in their class and homework. They are also common assessments over the course of the year as follows:
Autumn Term - Listening (Competencies 1, 2 and 3) and Recital (Competencies 1, 2 and 3)
Spring Term - Role Play (Competencies 3 and 4) in a restaurant and Poem (Competencies 1 and 2) based on the Big Question, What shapes our identity? with selected poems put forward to the national Mother Tongue, Other Tongue Competition

The course focus mostly on "What shapes our identity?" Of course, students will be able to share aspects of their visible identity but the will also be able to share aspects of identity which are usually more hidden.
