Assessment

For your assessment you will be required to read an unseen poem and answer a series of multiple-choice questions and short answer responses based on what you have read.

There will also be one extended response question that will require you to write one TEXET paragraph. You could be asked to write a paragraph on any of the topics we have covered so far.

This assessment will be completed in one lesson, under test conditions.

Activity 1: Practice Test

To prepare for this assessment, complete the following practice assessment on the poem, Sick by Shel Silverstein.

Start by reading the poem on page 23 of your study guide and annotating the poem for poetic devices.

Answer the following questions on pages 24-26 of your study guide:
