Poetic devices or techniques are the tools a poet uses to construct their poem and make it engaging for readers.Â
These devices can be roughly divided into three categories:
STRUCTURE: The way that the words are arranged.
FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE & IMAGERY: The way that words create vivid images in our mind.
SOUND DEVICES: The way that words sound to make meaning.
