What are narrative conventions?
Characterisation, plot, point of view, setting and theme are narrative conventions.
These are the techniques which an author uses in the story to make it engaging for readers and help to communicate their thoughts and feelings about the world.
Without characters, events, places and messages, a story will not be effective.
