If you are using a shared computer at your school you are strongly advised to follow the instructions below when using the ePortal:
If signing into the Chrome browser always remember to sign out at the end of your session. This will prevent other users from saving their credentials using your browser.
When signing into the ePortal always make sure you are not using someone else's profile (check who is signed in by looking at the details at the top right of the browser window).
When accessing the ePortal it is recommended that you use Incognito mode. This means that no history is retained and all sign in details are removed when your browser session is finished. To use Chrome in Incognito mode:
Open Chrome on your computer
Click on the three vertical dots at the top right of the browser window:
From the options that appear select New incognito window:
You can tell if you are working in incognito mode as the window has a black outline around it and the incognito icon is visible at the top right of the window:
School technicians may wish to force incognito mode when anyone accesses the ePortal within the school. Further details regarding this are available from the IT Support desk.
Note: Please select the appropriate set of instructions depending on whether or not you have an email address registered with ICON.
Users who have an email address registered with ICON will receive an automatic email when they are on-boarded as follows:
Dear User Name,
Please click this link in order to activate and log into the ePortal. Please note that this link will expire on 00/00/0000 at 00:00xx.
If you click this link after it has expired, please follow the prompts on the ICON ePortal page that you are sent to.

Once the email is received, click on the link provided within the email to take you to the ePortal for activation of your account. You then be required to create a password that complies with the appropriate password policy. You will need to confirm your password and if the passwords match and the password complexity policy is met (as shown by the green ticks below), click on Reset Password:
Once these tasks are completed you will be required to accept the ePortal disclaimer and will be logged in to the ePortal (see above):
Users who do not have an email address registered with ICON will be provided with the ePortal address and a username and temporary password to access the ePortal.
To log in for the first time you will need to change your temporary password.
Go to the address provided for the ePortal
Enter your username and temporary password on the screen
Click the Log In button:
To change your temporary password:
Follow the instructions on the right-hand side of the screen to create the relevant complexity for your new password.
Note: The complexity differs depending on the authorisation you have. See the Password Policy page for more details.
Enter your new password
Click the Change Password button:
The following Security Questions screen appears:
In each of the question fields (1, 2 and 3), select a question from the drop-down list and then enter the appropriate answer in the Answer field below it.
Note: The answer entries are not case-sensitive.
By default any characters typed are hidden by asterisks for security purposes. If you would prefer to see your answer as you type click on the Eye icon underneath the answer box to display the characters as you type them:
When the answers to all three questions are completed, click the Save Changes button.
The following disclaimer appears on the screen, stating that your answers to the questions have been successfully registered:
Click the Accept button.
You will then see your User Dashboard:
