For the second design challenge, student teams will design and prototype an invention or innovation that will improve the life of a person with a disability caused by a genetic disease, and will submit their invention to a school-wide K-12 InVenture Prize competition.
Part of this process of invention and marketing will be to create a video to use to pitch the invention to a panel of judges. Music is regularly used to elicit a mood or feeling as information is being presented as an additional sensation to influence the audience/user. As students develop their invention pitch video, they will use EarSketch to design background music for their video while learning introductory coding/computational thinking skills as they design their music.
