Participation and Teaching Assistanship
This course provides pre-service teachers with hands-on experience through active participation and teaching assistantship in actual classroom settings. It focuses on developing teaching skills, classroom management techniques, and professional collaboration with mentor teachers. Through guided practice, students gain practical insights into lesson implementation, student engagement, and the responsibilities of an educator, bridging theory with real-world application.
Field Study 2 was an eye-opening journey that deepened my understanding of the teaching-learning process. Each episode provided me with valuable insights and practical skills, from creating effective lesson plans to managing classrooms, utilizing technology, and assessing student learning. I gained a better appreciation of the importance of adaptability, creativity, and reflection in becoming an effective educator.
Through hands-on experiences, I learned how to address challenges, use diverse teaching strategies, and create supportive learning environments, both in face-to-face and online settings. This journey also taught me the significance of being resourceful, whether using traditional materials, digital tools, or action research to improve my teaching practices.
