Our tour starts in San Miniato, a medieval town situated on top of three hills with enchanting landscapes and ancient buildings. We visit the main tourist attractions such as the Tower of Frederick II, the Sanctuary of the Most Holy Crucifix and the Town Hall. Lunch at Osteria L'Upupa and dinner at Il Retrobottega, where you can eat typical Tuscan dishes . Overnight stay at the lovely Ostello San Miniato.

After breakfast we head off to Gambassi and after an hour we take a path leading to the hills of the Elsa Valley with its forts, road-houses and monasteries. From here it is easy to reach Castelfiorentino, a town located between the Arno and Elsa Valleys. Our tour continues towards Gambassi Terme, another famous stop on the Via Francigena with its famous Terme della Via Francigena. Lunch at Osteria del Pellegrino. If you are not interested in the wellness path in Gambassi Terme, we suggest you visit Montaione, a picturesque town situated on top of a hill, with a beautiful view of the Arno Valley. Then we reach San Vivaldo also called Tuscany’s Jerusalem. Dinner at Osteria San Vivaldo and overnight stay at Castel Brelli, a hostel near Gambassi Terme.

We head for San Giminano, one of the most spectacular towns on the Via Francigena, with its beautiful landscape, churches, towers and medieval buildings. We visit the town and have lunch in a typical Tuscan restaurant. From here we can reach two enchanting villages, Molino d'Aiano and Colle Val d'Elsa. Dinner at Ristorante Arnolfo and overnight stay at Ostello Rifugio Val d'Elsa.

After breakfast we head off to Monteriggioni, a fascinating town located on top of a hill, in the province of Siena. This town features magnificent walls and fourteen rectangular towers. Lunch at the restaurant Antico Travaglio. Free afternoon. Dinner at pizzeria Il Feudo and overnight stay at Casa per Ferie Santa Maria Assunta.
