To Teach our students Roman Catholic values in an environment of academic excellence.
December 1, 2025
All 3 of these class leaders are allowed to bring a show-n-tell each day of this week.
Happy December; we have jumped right into Christmas activities! We will discuss Advent in class and make Advent wreaths this week, and will light a glittered flame on each candle as the weeks progress toward Christmas. We will also be saying special advent prayers, and working very hard to keep the true meaning of Christmas alive as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Jesus’ birth.
In the spirit of showing Jesus' love, a Kindergarten tradition is to have a baby shower for Mary, Jesus' mother! Each child will be asked to send in a small, un-wrapped, new baby item or a gently used one. We will have petit-fours and punch to celebrate the up-coming birth of Mary's son, Jesus, and then donate the items to the Desormeaux Foundation, which helps local expectant mothers in need. This does not have to be expensive; just a small thought or you can even send gently used baby clothing you already have, or items from the dollar store. We are just trying to instill generosity and kindness to the less fortunate in the hearts of our students!
Please keep encourage your child to do good deeds at home and/or your neighborhood during Advent. These are acts of kindness that are not expected at home, please write what they have done on the angel or gingerbread man you will find in the leave side of their folders, then have them color, cut-out and return them to school. Each good deed that is returned earns a piece of hay for Baby Jesus' manger and will go on our "Helping Hands" Christmas tree. This does not have to be completed every day, but thank you for your encouragement and help! May the flame of his love shine brightly in all our hearts during this Advent season, and all year long!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Mahtook

Our November virtue was "Courtesy" and we learned about St Martin de Porres.
Congratulations to the our VIP recipient, Sophie Chapman, for being so thoughtful of others!
****Please make sure you have written your child's name in all sweaters, jackets, and sweatshirts! I have a broen fleece, size small in the classroom with no name.
We will go to Mass this week on Thursday in the church.
Next Monday we will also be attending church for the holy day of the Immaculate Conception. Please have your child dress in Mass attire on both of these days.
