Since it is a short week, for homework, we will be tracingour names using lowercase letters and practicing writing our numbers from 1-5. Please make sure they are completing the homework neatly, making sure to stay on the lines, and continue reminding them to hold their pencil correctly. Make sure their homework is done in pencil!

Sight words will be added to their homework agenda next week. However, in order to continue getting them in the routine of reading the "Rapid Reading Charts" that reinforce sight words, we will send home a "number" chart to help them practice number identification from 1-20. Please continue practicing any letters and/or their sounds that gave them trouble last week! These charts can stay in the return side of their folder, or be returned on Friday morning. Remember, the length of time this takes can be recorded, but it DOES NOT have to be timed! I don't want the timing to cause distraction or distress.
Don’t forget to check your child’s folder EVERY night, empty the “Leave at home pocket” if there is anything in it, and initial their conduct sheets! Thank you so much for all your help!

Thank you for sending snacks inside the booksacks,. If your child brings their lunch, please have them carry it into class in their hand.
This way they will be able to go straight to the designated lunchbox area, set their lunch down, and we will be able to quickly report the numbers to the cafeteria.

We will participate in Kindergarten's annual Mary Medal ceremony next Monday in honor of Our Mother, Mary's birthday! We will be learning about Mary all week!

We realize that sending a daily snack is a new routine for some of the students, however, we are having to supply many, many snacks. So, until the routine is established better, we will now be asking for $1.00 to be returned with the OOPs card in front of your child's folder. OOPs cards are issued when a snack is forgotten. This money will go towards keeping an "emergency" supply on hand.
Please always return the card and the money to cover our costs.
