The Library Media Center is the resource heart of Canadian Academy, offering both print and digital materials for all areas of the curriculum at all grade levels. We house more than 40,000 volumes in our elementary and middle/high school collections, including eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and newspapers in both English and Japanese. The library also maintains access to multiple online databases including JSTOR, NewsBank, ProQuest, and WorldBank.
Library Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 - 4:30
Wednesday: 8:00 - 2:30
Friday: 8:00 - 4:00
The Library's primary role is to provide an environment for students and teachers to read, browse the shelves, work silently or in a group, and relax during free periods. Please be respectful of the other people in the library by choosing activities that allow everyone to work and relax together in a peaceful, communal space. We ask that all library visitors:
do not bring in food or eat in the library. Drinks with a lid are allowed.
refrain from any personal grooming in the library including nails, hair styling, or makeup application
please do not sleep in the library
keep your devices on mute or use headphones
do not record audio or video in the library without the permission of a teacher
put things back where you found them including furniture, display items, puzzles, and games
dispose of all trash in the trash cans
