A variety of clubs including art, tennis, math and eco club are sponsored each year.
Canadian Academy has a number of organizations, clubs, athletic and fine and performing art activities in which students are encouraged to participate. Check our website, the daily bulletin or contact the Activities Director for more information.
APAC
CA students have the opportunity to travel within the Asia Pacific region to the following participating schools: Brent International School, Manila; The International School of Beijing, American International School of Guanzghou, Western Academy of Beijing, Concordia International School of Shanghai, Hong Kong Internationational School, and Shanghai American School, China; United Nations International School, Vietnam; Seoul Foreign School and Taejon Christian International School, Korea.
APAC Athletics: - CA participates in the following athletic activities: Cross Country, Volleyball, Baseball (Boys only), Basketball, Soccer, Badminton and Softball (Girls only).
APAC Performing Arts: - CA also participates in the APAC Fine Arts Festivals for Band, Choir, Dance, Orchestra, and Theater. Students are selected by audition for places in these traveling delegations. Students prepare for these events through independent practice and after school rehearsals.
Drama
In addition to drama class productions, students may participate in major productions (including musicals). Interested students are provided with the opportunity to perform on stage, in a pit orchestra, or work in various aspects of technical theater. Students prepare for these performances through independent practice and after school rehearsals. Contact the Activities Director for more information.
Model United Nations
Canadian Academy sponsors a Model United Nations (MUN) group whose members attend interscholastic Model U.N. events and discuss current world issues and concerns. This organization is open to all qualified students and meets once a week after school. For more information, contact the MUN Advisor.
At Canadian Academy, many other informal clubs exist based on the interest of the student body and advisors. Some of these have included: Science Club, Entrepenuer’s Club, Psychology Club, Speech & Debate, Japanese Speech & Debate, Manga, and many more.
