A presentation is designed to aid communication between the presenter and the audience. Presentations are usually created digitally and the presenter will talk alongside the presentation.

Presentations usually have a mixture of the following information types-
Text- The use of words/sentences to communicate messages.
Images- The use of images to help communicate key messages and also keep the audience interested.
Sounds- Digital sounds can be added to again help keep the audience engaged.
Video/Movies- Moving image files may be added to help reinforce key messages and maintain audience engagement.
Information can come from a wide range of sources.

When we are researching and gathering information it is important we check that the information is accurate and reliable.
What are the benefits/drawbacks of each source of information listed above?
Audience- Have you considered the audience for your presentation? Is the font, colour scheme and use of images appropriate for your audience.
Information- Make sure you include enough information on the topic to make your presentation useful to the audience. Does it communicate enough information to educate the audience on the topic. What else could you include? Have you made good use of relevant images to complement your presentation?
Structure- Is your presentation well structured? Think about the order of the slides, does it flow? Have you made good use of titles to help the audience follow the presentation.
Aesthetics- Is the font used interesting and easy to read. Does your background colour contrast with your text? Have you made good use of images on each slide?
Interesting- Have you made good use of transitions and animations to make the presentation interesting for your audience.

Task 1
Create a presentation about a sensible topic of your choice. This will allow your teacher to get an idea of what your presentation skills are like and what areas need developing. Submit this task to your teacher thorough the baseline assessment on Teams. The presentation should be no more than 8 slides.
Task 2
Your main piece of work for this unit will be on E-Safety. Your first task is to complete the E-Safety research task which has been posted on teams. This can also be found in the shared area.
Once you have completed the research task you must then decide on the topic of E-Safety for your presentation. You can do a presentation about E-Safety in general or you can pick one topic and do it in more detail.
