A website is a collection of webpages which are interlinked and accessible through a common home page. A webpage will have a memorable web address to make sure the website is easy to access such as www.bbc.co.uk the pages within the site will have an extension such as www.bbc.co.uk/sport

These are used to make a piece of text move across the screen. They can be used to highlight key points and improve the user experience.
This is a button which changes appearence when a user moves the mouse pointer over it. It might change colour, display text or even display an image. It helps the user to see which option they are selecting and makes the interaction between the user and the website more enjoyable.
This is a data collection form which is used to collect data from the user of a website. You can collect customer information to complete a sale or even allow the customer to ask questions through the form.
A hyperlink is a image or piece of text which is linked to another webpage or file. When clicked it will open the relevant web page/ file.
This is the term used to describe how we move around websites. Most websites will have a main navigation bar and may also have some other navigations buttons throughout the pages. They can be horizontal or vertical.
When working on a website we can preview it in a browser to see how it appears on the screen. The browser is the piece of software which allows us to view websites. Chrome and Edge are two common versions.
