mention - refer to something briefly without going into detail
adorable - inspiring great affection; delightful and charming
scattered - separated and going in all directions
collection - a group of specific things
Author's Purpose
The author's purpose is the reason for writing a text. An author may write in order to persuade, inform/teach, or entertain. This forms the acronym of PIE which helps you remember the three main types of author's purpose. An author may also write to express their opinion or feelings about a topic.
