The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) now occupies a 4,000m² fit-out across two floors of a new office building by Abstract Securities. This strategic move consolidated their operations across Croydon, offering a unique opportunity to transition to a more efficient open-plan and shared-desk work model.
As an organization with large financial and compliance departments, the new space was designed to reflect its fund-manager-like function. This included the creation of large meeting and conference rooms to welcome delegations from companies with distressed pension schemes.
The floor plan is centered around the two atriums, where meeting, break-out, and the "Market Square" are located, keeping workspaces on the quieter perimeter. The Market Square is a versatile hub that functions as a staff restaurant, an informal meeting spot throughout the day, and a venue for social events and presentations. The project was completed in 2014.
