You will be managing the Frank Lab Website (lncc.brown.edu) and the Frank Lab Wiki (where you are now).
Share with new lab members as part of onboarding process
Update as necessary
You can edit the website by navigating to lnccbrown.squarespace.com/config.
Add new lab members and include:
Lab Photo
Education history
Research interests
Personal Website/CV (optional)
Note from Wasita: The JavaScript handling the markdowns for each member's name and information is a little buggy, such that every time an edit is made, a normal save will result in the disabling of the JS handling the drop-down box animations. To get around this, I would toggle to 'disable' the page and then immediately click to enable before saving. No need to save the disable and save after re-enabling. This page enabling feature is located under Settings/General/Enable Page.
2. Keep Michael's publications lists up to date
Michael's publications: http://ski.clps.brown.edu/pubs-online.html
Michael's publications' abstracts: http://ski.clps.brown.edu/pubs-abstr.html
Michael updates these himself (via rsync on his personal laptop to isilon on the lab's Virtual Machine/web server) and seems to prefer doing so.
Every ~3 months, follow his lead and update the 3 corresponding pages on the Frank Lab site:
Note from Wasita: I updated this by viewing the page source on Michael's publications list and copying the HTML over into a text editor (i.e. Sublime). I'd then find + replace URLs specific to Michael's website with URLs specific to the lab website. Then I would paste into Squarespace code block. I had hopes and dreams about creating a script to web-scrape from his website, but those unfortunately never came to fruition.
