Along with the IRB documents only accessible to the Lab Manager, there are copies detailing all submissions within the lab's history on COEUS (i.e. Brown's IRB uses COEUS to store what we have sent them). If you ever need a copy of an amendment or protocol before your time or if you have lost the copy in your e-mail, COEUS access is useful to have.
You can request a COEUS account via Brown IT Help Desk.
How to use COEUS to view/access IRB documents
Protip: To find the "Approved N" (i.e. the total number of participants we have approval to run under a given protocol), navigate to the Participants tab on the protocol's COEUS page. If we exceed this number, we run the risk of the IRB freezing participant enrollment. It's suggested to be mindful of this number, especially for mTurk studies under the Healthy Adults protocol where we can run upwards of 3k participants/yr.
Otherwise, you can access our lab's copies of IRB documents (e.g., protocols, amendments, etc.) here:
When submitting an amendment, you may care to time it according to the Brown IRB Meeting Schedule for a quicker turn around.
