The Roads Committee does our best to keep up with road news for our neighborhood.
We are in constant contact with the NC DOT about the state roads in our neighborhoods. Every year we request a survey on traffic on Country Club Drive at South Belvedere Drive but are informed that it has insufficient traffic, sufficient sight distance and nothing they can do about it. We will continue the fight.
This year, 2023, major repaving was done for Long Leaf Drive, South Belvedere Drive, Soundview Drive N, Lakeview Drive, Fairway Drive, Lakeview Circle, Lake Circle, Fairway Circle and Dolphin Circle. We're staying in touch to support the improvement on all our secondary roads (SR).
The road sign has a small SR (Secondary Route) and number if the state is responsible for repair. If the road sign does not have this, the road is a private road. We have several private roads in our neighborhood including Ransey Court, Belvedere Court, northern spur of Soundview Drive N,
