All officers of the BPOA Board are volunteers. The standard term is one year in duration. The overall responsibility of the Board includes:
Collect and dispense Association funds - limited to an expenditure of $200 without approval of the membership. This restriction does not apply to Budget expenditures approved by the membership.
Appoint committees as deemed necessary. All committees are responsible to the board.
Assume responsibility for calling special meetings should emergency action be necessary.
Prepare agenda for general and special membership meetings.
Make recommendations to the membership for actions necessary to carry out the purposes of the Association (See ARTICLE II)

The secretary
shall keep the minutes of the general and special meetings and of the meetings of the Board of Directors;
shall see that all notices are fully given in accordance with provisions under the by-laws;
shall keep a list of the membership by name, address and telephone number; and in general,
shall perform all the duties incident to the office of Secretary.

The Treasurer shall be responsible for the following activities:
Maintaining accurate books of account for the Association’s financial activities
Depositing Association funds in depositories approved by the Board and/or investing funds as may be directed by the Board
Filing necessary tax returns
Disbursing funds as provided in the By-Laws of the Association or as directed by the Board
Maintaining records of paid memberships
Recommending an annual operating budget to the Board
Preparing periodic statements reflecting the financial position of the Association for the Board and membership
Acquire insurance as needed.

The Past President shall be a non-elective office and will be held by the prior President to assist the currently elected officers for the purpose of continuity of the affairs of the Association. This is a non-voting position.

An architecture review is required for all modifications to the property. The review provides for feedback on any proposed changes to ensure the modifications comply with the NC Planned Communities Act, Declarations of Restrictions and Bylaws. We can advise on known Pender County Building and other government building codes but the appropriate governing organization has the final say on their rules.

Coordinates with NCDOT to pick up trash left on roadsides in our area. (Currently, we have responsibility for Country Club Drive between Weathersby and Mallard Bay Road.) Recruits volunteers and schedules pick-up dates. Previous schedule was once each calendar quarter.
Selects any of the fences at 5 locations within Sections 1 and 2 to confirm stability and visibility throughout the year. Decorates for Christmas (winter) holiday. The Beautification Committee coordinates responsibility for each fence.
Dave Hughes
Selects any of the six (6) stations within Sections 1 and 2 to ensure stability and to supply with poop bags as needed. (The bags are ordered once a year and distributed to the monitors for use throughout the year.) Thus far, Roads Committee has handled this.
John Redmond
Advises BPOA of new residents; sends cards upon illness, death, or other major events; advises the BPOA of properties on the market; helps welcome new owners to the neighb. The Welcome Committee coordinates.
Michelle Nieber
Maintains the Belvedere Property Owners Association, Sections 1 and 2 group in Facebook/Metaverse; admits new participants; monitors content from group members; and coordinates announcements with the website information.
Prepares BPOA Newsletter for distribution to all members of the Association. Currently done on an annual basis, distributed by USPS with the annual invoices for dues.

Ensures historical information is preserved for reference.
