This is a major initiative since our current, soon to be previous, website was static requiring an outsider to make changes to our site.
Our objectives are
Easy, non-programming interface with multi-user editing capabilities
Make the website accessible through different device types including phone, tablet or computer.
Provide more required and useful information such as Events; Road, Shopping and Hampstead news; Initiative updates; and other Important Information.
Provide member interaction tools such as surveys, member information self updates, communication preferences, etc.
Provide volunteer tools to better coordinate with the members
Search capabilities for documentation.
At this point we have the website ready for review with much more information than previously available to our members. We hope to soon enable many self management and collaboration tools for our volunteers and members.
Note the presentation on a phone layout.
The yellow banner can be enabled whenever we have important news for the site visitors. It even has a button to jump straightaway to the announcement item.
Note that there are very few details and each is manually added tot the site.
We have captured all of the information from the site and have it on the new site. Water Treatment Info and Water Runoff Info are old news. Meeting Schedules and Agendas are organized by General and Board meetings (not available on the old site).
We have ditched the Amendment of Declaration of Restrictions for Sections III and IV since they are not applicable to our organization.
The Belvedere Section maps have been greatly improved.
Our new domain is an organization (org) not a company (com) as it should have been for a 401c4.
This site supports phone, tablet and computer formatting without programming.
Different roles access different areas of the website.
All of the data from the previous website is available in a condensed menu along with much more information and search capabilities.
There is an announcement banner when important events such as Newsletters or upcoming General Meetings are there for you when you login.
It has News about Commercial Development (Shopping), Roads (paving in our neighborhood, diagrams of Hampstead Bypass, and so much more). We are only limited by what volunteers can provide.
There really is too much to convey so try different features of the site.
We saved the biggest bang for last - self service features. You'll be able to ask questions and track responses; change your contact information; choose how we communicate with you; and so much more.
If you are like most members, it has been years since you visited the old site - we hope to make the new site a news source for you. We hope to augment the social media (Facebook group , next door, and others as we identify them) to provide a great community experience for BPOA members.
