Stacy Lafume

Stacy Lafume has been drawing her whole life, but made a conscience decision to learn how to improve in the seventh grade. Ms.Lafume is most skilled in pencil, and marker,using this to create characters and abstract illustrations. Ms. Lafume is inspired by Destiny Palmer who is a former art teacher at Boston Arts Academy. Destiny Palmer uses contrasting colors and a sequence of coarse contour lines to guide the viewer's eyes around the picture plan.

At Boston Arts Academy Ms. Lafume has been nominated for numerous art related programs, such as Putney Boarding School summer programs, and glassblowing at Diablo Glass School. At Putney, Ms.Lafume was trained in the Culinary Arts, Fashion design, Blacksmith, and glass etching. At Diablo Glass Arts School, she was disciplined in the hot shop, which was paperweight making and glass blowing. She made several cups, one bowl, a vase, and a paper weight.

Stacy Lafume is very grateful for all of the wonderful moments that the Boston Arts Academy has provided for her to grow as an artist-scholar-citizen. Ms. Lafume will take these moments with her as she continues her college life attending Bunker Hill Community college then transferring to Mass Art College of design.
