Ella Snyder is a seventeen year old visual artist from Boston, Massachusetts. When she is not writing, she can be found studying for calculus exams in the BAA library, drinking a chocolate milkshake at Tasty Burger, or photographing her friends in the streets of Back Bay. She is passionate about gender equality, and self-reflection through art and writing. During her time at the Boston Arts Academy, she has participated in summer programs at Artists for Humanity, and School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In her junior year, she spent her second semester studying painting, new media, sculpture and humanities at The Oxbow School in Napa, California. It was there that she found her voice as a writer, and developed the ideas in her piece, “What She Lived For.” Currently, Ella is planning to pursue a higher education in the arts at either Parsons The New School for Design or School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
