Michelle Romero born on October 12, 1997 in Boston MA, is a Latina/Samoan Actor/Stage Manager/ Director and Cinematographer. Michelle is currently enrolled at the Boston Arts Academy as a senior theatre major. Michelle has been in love with performing the young age of 7, starting off by making up performances in her living room for her mother and brother. Michelle has taken 4 years of enrichment classes at Emerson College from the Emerson Pathways Program, and has also been apart of Actor Shakespeare Summer Youth Intensive where she was able to play the role of Beatrice in the play, Much ado About Nothing. Michelle has been in multiple musicals including The wizard of Oz,Hairspray,The Little Mermaid and 13 the musical. Recent credits at BAA include In The Heights, The wiz and Prospect High, a play chosen from the roundabout theatre company in New york to be performed at Boston Arts Academy. Technical theatre credits include stage manager for BAA’s production of Inner City Blues. Michelle has also stage managed performances done at Wellesley College and has had stange has had stage managing training by SpeakEasy stage manager, Julie Marie Langevin. Michelle has also written and directed short films such as, Ying Yang, Forbidden Fantasy, and Mind Under Attack, under the guidance of screenwriter and director, John Adekoje. Michelle has also been apart of the successful webseries, The Halls where she plays the role of Amanda.
As an actress, Michelle strives to uplift and help people feel more connected to one another through her acting. She main goal is to want to brighten the world and raise the overall state of humanity through the art of theatre. Michelle is currently in the processes of creating and putting up a devised theatre piece of women empowerment, at Veronica's cultural center in East Boston. Michelle wants to continue to use her art in a way that speaks many levels to many different people. Michelles goal is to use her art as a way to better society, bring a community together and heal others.
