Felipe Henriquez

Felipe Nelson Henriquez Hernandez was born in Boston Massachusetts but was raised in Dominican Republic by his grandmother till he was 4 years old. Felipe’s nationality is Dominican and Salvadoran. It has became difficult to transition back to boston as a 4 year old learning a new language. School became difficult for him but he still manage to do well in school. With being an artist activist, Felipe also a part of the East Boston neighborhood where there have been twenty gang related deaths. Disappointingly, this number covers only a small neighborhood in the entire city. Massachusetts as a whole needs to take action before other cities mirror the actions of those in the Boston neighborhoods, leading towards becoming an unsafe space for the community.
