Our Mission
1959 - The year the legacy of the Purple Gem started. All those years ago, a small group of students of Bowling Green High School decided they wanted to band together to create the school's first student-ran newspaper. They strived to create a paper that would inform and humor the students and facility of the school, creating a stronger sense of community.
Even now, with so much changing around us, we still hold those values. We strive to educate, inform, create laughs and all around share the stories that students care about.
We are the Purple Gem.
