Pumpkin Alley is one of the top trick-or-treating spots in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Mooreland Drive, also known as Pumpkin Alley, is a part of the Briarwood neighborhood in Bowling Green.
One of the main attractions of Pumpkin Alley is the welcoming families and homes in the neighborhood. The people of Pumpkin Alley go all out for Halloween to host the thousands of visitors that will flock the neighborhood. The neighborhood is filled with excited revelers who love Halloween and create a friendly atmosphere throughout the night.
Briarwood resident, Ginny Hensley, says, “My favorite thing about Pumpkin Alley is that it gives Briarwood an opportunity to show the rest of Bowling Green how awesome it is to live here. It’s just a close-knit community that loves to celebrate and have fun!”
One of the main traditions of Pumpkin Alley is the lining of carved pumpkins along the center strip of trees. The residents all bring out their pumpkins at around 5:30 p.m. on Halloween night and take them back to their properties the next morning. The trick-or-treaters, as well as the residents, love to walk down the street and see the various creations presented by the community.
Halloween night is extremely lively on Mooreland Drive. Thousands of people from all over Bowling Green come together to celebrate the holiday, so the roads of Mooreland Drive get shut down to keep it safe for the families and citizens. One downside is the lack of parking in the neighborhood. Driveways around the neighborhood are packed with cars and it is incredibly hard to get through the neighborhood after 4:30 p.m.
The residents' decorations are at an all time high during Halloween. These decorations range from illuminated pumpkins to awesome displays. Children are trick-or-treating in fun and creative costumes. One thing that Pumpkin Alley is known for is the residents’ spirit and celebration for decorating for Halloween. As Halloween is one of the most well-known holidays in this neighborhood, many residents have high expectations for every year. Their expectations are frequently exceeded and make the family-friendly environment come to life.
A crucial event happening on Pumpkin Alley is the exciting parties going on. Parties at Mooreland Drive are a great way to gather around neighbors, friends, and family for a fun evening. With food, games, decorations, and costumes, these parties are a memorable part of every year.
Costumes are a big part of trick-or-treating on Pumpkin Alley. When you walk around you see a variety of kids and adults expressing themselves with the creativity of their costume, and putting a smile on everyone's face. Their costumes never disappoint!
Pumpkin Alley is known all across the city as the best Halloween spot. The vibes in the neighborhood on this night of the year are incredible and you do not want to miss it. The road has been home to the best trick or treating in Bowling Green for years and will be for more to come.
