Valentine’s Day is a day during February when couples celebrate their love for one another. It is a day to exchange valentines and affection. When it comes to Valentine’s Day dates you need to think about the best spot to take your significant other. Whether you are on a budget or not, there are many locations that meet the expectations for being cheap or expensive.
Cheap Valentine’s Day dates can be just as special and meaningful as expensive ones. It’s not about the cost, but more about the effort you put into the date. When you settle on a cheap date you focus more on the quality time with your partner than the extravagant gestures being placed. It’s all about the little things when you set up a date. Also being beneficial to get creative and come up with great date ideas that are budget-friendly. Picking the cheap side for dates is in favor of some high school students because students most likely don’t have a job therefore they can’t afford the fancy dinners. Being cheap doesn’t mean you never care about the person. It's all about the generous motions you show without breaking the bank.
Junior couple Jolie Costellow and Carter Smith say, ”We enjoy expensive dates because we love sentimental things.” Some high school students enjoy this but, on the other hand, enjoy the value of other things such as each other.
Expensive Valentine’s Day dates can offer luxurious experiences and fancy settings. It’s important to remember the value of a date isn’t solely based on the price tag, but these dates can offer this experience. When you plan an extravagant date, the other half feels cared for and that is a really good quality to endure.
Imagine that you are in a new relationship, and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. You want to impress your potential girlfriend or boyfriend. You must pull out all the stops, with a bouquet of roses, an expensive couple’s dinner, and the biggest heart shaped box of candy you can find, and perhaps you even throw in a heart shaped necklace and giant sized teddy bear with a big red bow tied around its neck. Just remember, this is a first impression that could set the standards for the whole relationship.
My uncle, Robbie, once told me one of the biggest mistakes he ever made was creating a lavish Valentine’s Day evening for his third date. She was absolutely blown away, but he spent the next few years trying to live up to that. She always compared everything to that night. Save the grand occasion for an important anniversary, not just a date with someone you have yet to really know.
Whether the date is cheap or expensive, making those memories will last a lifetime. Sure, expensive things are nice, but remember that spending time with your girlfriend or boyfriend on Valentine’s Day is just as important as the grand amount of money spent on them. Love is an action word. Just be kind to your significant other every day, be complimentary, attentive, and respectful. That is the greatest gift of all, and it is absolutely free.
