Regrets
The deafening boom of the cannons reverberated as they fired directly into the enemy ship, each cannonball inflicting 1000 damage. Jack, seated at home with a controller in hand, couldn't believe his victory, after a year of relentless efforts, he had finally beaten the last level of worship fury. As the white flag ascended and the sound of trumpets filled the air, Jack was overwhelmed with pride and joy. Yet, among his delight, a pang of guilt lingered. He was a 20 year old, who’s sole focus had been his video games. Now, having conquered the most challenging game, he found a question that truly baffled him, what was his purpose? undisturbed by the gathering smoke and his mother's urgent calls from upstairs, Jack was consumed in his thoughts. Suddenly, the room was flooded with flames. The scorching heat surrounded him and the bellowing smoke engulfed him. He coughed, and bled until he could feel no more.
As Jack regained consciousness, he found himself in a corridor of a hotel, nothing like what he had imagined in the afterlife. The glamorous décor created a sense of calm, and as Jack reached out, the golden and red fabric brought a brief moment of comfort. However, remembering his father's warnings about hotel floors, he rose to his feet. Examining the hallway, he noticed elaborate golden threads decorating certain doors. He realized a mesmerizing glow coming from those doors. Overcome by curiosity, Jack cautiously opened a dimly lit door, only to recoil in horror.
Inside the room, a younger version of himself sat hunched over a toy train. confused, Jack's shock turned to disbelief as he realized the child was none other than his past self. Dressed in a red jacket, blue athletic shirt, and jeans, the younger Jack examined the toy train with intensity. As a knock echoed from the door within the room, Jack's parents entered, leading him to quickly shut the door, and faint
Confused , Jack awakened in a familiar yet altered setting - his basement. His childhood belongings lay untouched, just like the day they were first obtained. Venturing towards the garage door, Jack walked through the familiar space and, to his disbelief, found himself back in the hotel corridor. Overwhelmed, he cried out in frustration at the surreal series of events.
"YOU'RE DEAD," a thunderous voice proclaimed.
Reeling from the revelation, Jack sank to the ground, grappling with the overwhelming reality of his condition.
Multiple questions circled his mind. Why was I sent to these moments, am I actually dead, who am I?
“You’ll find out” the voice boomed out again.
Jack wanted to scream and shout. He wanted to hug his parents and let them know how much he loved and appreciated them. He wanted them to see how much he’s grown. Most of all he wanted to love them.
i'm looking out the sales force tower,
the building is so tall it surely doesn't cower,
through the top window I can see above the clouds,
it's hard too get to the edge because of all the crowds,
it's getting dark and the sun is going to sleep,
as it closes it's eyes and dips down low and deep,
as san Fransisco turns on its night lights and goes to bed,
the sales force turns on it's lights blue, green, and red,
I wait for a text to return,
i look to my watch to see how much time i burn,
the text is returned with a message,
ungratful oxygen it says, each text make less scence like the word lessage
stormy the next one said,
each text is now like lead,
luscious lullaby, what does that mean, what does that mean, what does that mean
each sentince was making less sence to lean, on
PUPPIES
The moon was so full and white,
It looked so full of air and light,
The sky looked so colorful and clean,
As it shone off the water with a glean,
The grass was quite deathly and black,
As the trees stood tall I noticed the color they too lack
Thank you so much
