The IB Diploma Programme Visual Arts course encourages students to challenge their own creative and cultural expectations and boundaries. It is a thought-provoking course in which students develop analytical skills in problem-solving and divergent thinking, while working towards technical proficiency and confidence as art-makers.
The exhibition is the culmination of the students' IB DP Visual Arts journey experiences, but for us, it is more than an IB requirement, it is part of our school’s culture to showcase and celebrate the creativity of our young artists. Art is important, art gives us an identity, unites, and helps us communicate. For the young artist, the art exhibition is essentially the best way to lay the foundation for self-branding, self-understanding, networking for future development and awareness... Art is a way of expressing their feelings, and our students did precisely that.
