Watercolor Self-Portraits

These self-portraits were painted by 10th grade with watercolors inspired by Alison OK Frost's and Agnes Cecile's techniques and works. The student's pieces are beautiful and expressive and capture their likeness. Some works feature vivid colors and fluid brushstrokes, creating a sense of movement and emotion in the portraits. Meanwhile, other pieces are characterized by delicate washes of color and intricate details, resulting in ethereal and dreamlike images. The use of watercolor conveys a sense of intimacy and vulnerability, making it an ideal medium for self-portraiture. It was a wonderful way to explore creativity and capture each student's unique personality on paper.
