What’s POPular?!

The vibrant and dynamic world of Pop art comes alive in the creative expressions of the students' artworks showcased here. Drawing inspiration from the iconic movement that emerged in the 1950s and 1960s, students dove into the realm of popular culture, consumerism, comic books, and mass media to craft their own unique interpretations using cardboard, paint, and techniques used by Pop artists.

The power of language and text as a visual element in Pop art is explored in this series of artworks. From bold slogans to catchy phrases, students have utilized typography as a means of communication, echoing the nature of Pop art and its engagement with mass media and advertising culture.

Through their innovative and thought-provoking artworks, students have demonstrated not only their technical skills but also their engagement with the themes and concepts central to the movement.
