We dedicate this exhibition to someone that for 24 years filled our community with many colorful hugs and countless memories, Mrs. Socorrito Díaz.
We imagine that she must have had mixed feelings about her retirement. On one hand her drive, relentless passion, joy of sharing her knowledge, promoting her love of art to our little ones, and on the other having free time to rest and enjoy her craft even more. She created a space where our students were transported to magical places with Girafo and learned about artists from around the world.
Socorrito you are an amazing teacher, colleague, source of inspiration, and a great art advocate. Thank you for sharing your love of art with all of us. We will forever cherish all those dots, travel lines, patterns, and warm colored hugs.
We would like to take the opportunity to recognize Mr. Nelligan for always supporting the arts at Baldwin these past 9 years.
You always understood the importance that all arts have in our students' lives, and supported our efforts and requests to help make their creativities soar.
Thank you.
