Lesson Objective

To create a maze
To move the character around the screen.

Log on to Scratch

Using the username that you have been given, log into Scratch for the first time. You will be asked to put your date of birth and your country.

Go to www.scratch.mit.edu
Click Sign in
Enter your Username and password
Complete the details that follow

Challenge 1 - Create your Maze

Check out the video opposite for ways to create your maze.

Go to your Stage
Use the drawing tools to create your own Maze.

Tips

Make sure your border is set to zero.
Only use 1 colour for the whole maze.
Use the rectangle tool to build your maze.

Challenge 2 - Move your Sprite around the Screen

Check out the video opposite for ways to create your maze.

Code your character to move around the screen using the arrow keys on the keyboard.

Tips

Use the Forever loop to ensure the it is always asking the question
Use the IF condition to ask the question "If the UP key is pressed, change y by 5"
Repeat the IF condition for all four directions.
