Using Send to back and bring to front tools in Google Slides
Formatting options on Text, such as Drop Shadow
Formatting options on image, such as transparency

Log on to Scratch

Using the username that you have been given, log into Scratch for the first time. You will be asked to put your date of birth and your country.

Go to www.scratch.mit.edu
Click Sign in
Enter your Username and password
Complete the details that follow

Add your Backgrounds to your Scratch Programme

Background

Go back to you Google Slides presentation.
Go to the slide you wish to use first.
Click File and then Download as a jpeg image
Go back to Scratch and upload the background into your Stage.

Add your Character to your Scratch Programme

Character

Choose one of the following characters to be in your game.
Two finger tap on the character below and Save Image (If you are using a mouse, you can right click)
Go to Scratch and import your character into Scratch.

Add your Script to your Presentation

Open the presentation that you did in the previous lesson with your Backgrounds. In the notes section of your presentation, start to add some notes. You need to add facts and things that your character is going to say in you Scratch Coding presentation.

My first Algorithm

Write an Algorithm that will make your character speak when the Green flag is clicked.

Your character needs to welcome the players to your information presentation on The Romans.

Start your Algorithm using the Green Flag block.
Code your character with a welcome speech bubble.
Add other speech bubbles that tells the audience what they are experiencing.

Extension Algorithm

Using the microphone on the Chromebook, create an algorithm that will make your character speak.
