Key Stage 1 Computing Curriculum
Use technology purposefully to create, organise, store, manipulate and retrieve digital content
- Recognise that pressing keys on a keyboard creates letters on a screen
- Identify & use the delete key/s
- Identify & use the return/enter key to start a new line
- Understand the relative positions of keys on a keyboard
- Identify & use number keys (number pad on full size keyboards)
- Identify & use the space bar to type a sentence

- Control a cursor on a computer with a mouse/trackpad
- Understand & use computer terms, eg: menu, icon, scroll bar, cursor etc
- Log in with username & password
- Understand what a digital footprint is and that it can last forever
- Understand that content I create and share over the internet can be abused by others
