In the BGE Literacy, Numeracy and Modern Languages are delivered to small groups of learners who for a variety of reasons may not be able to access the curriculum in a larger classroom setting.
Courses are delivered in line with Curriculum for Excellence outcomes and experiences from Early to Second level. Baseline assessments are used to determine gaps in learning or areas for development and individualised programmes are created.
A variety of learning, teaching and assessment approaches are adopted which take account of individual need and accommodations; breadth, depth and challenge; and progression pathways.
