How to Become a Field Practicum Internship Site

The field practicum agency and field practicum instructor are instrumental partners in the social work field practicum education program at Azusa Pacific University. Approved field practicum education settings provide a challenging learning environment for the BSW and MSW student under the supervision of an experienced BSW, MSW or LCSW. Field practicum agency selection is based on specific criteria including, but not limited to, appropriateness of setting for learning needs, expertise of field practicum instructors, and the provision of sound field practicum instruction consistent with the mission, objectives, and goals of the APU BSW and MSW program.

Agencies are invited to become approved as APU field practicum internship sites. Benefits include free continuing education, networking with other social work colleagues, and the opportunity to give back to the social work profession through mentorship and sharing of one’s expertise. Begin the field practicum internship site approval process by visiting and completing the Required Forms button below. Applications are reviewed by the field practicum faculty on a year-round basis.
