How to Become a Practicum Internship Site

The practicum agency and practicum instructor are instrumental partners in the social work practicum education program at Azusa Pacific University. Approved practicum education settings provide a challenging learning environment for the BSW and MSW student under the supervision of an experienced BSW, MSW or LCSW. practicum agency selection is based on specific criteria including, but not limited to, appropriateness of setting for learning needs, expertise of practicum instructors, and the provision of sound practicum instruction consistent with the mission, objectives, and goals of the APU BSW and MSW program.

Agencies are invited to become approved as APU practicum internship sites. Benefits include free continuing education, networking with other social work colleagues, and the opportunity to give back to the social work profession through mentorship and sharing of one’s expertise.
