Program Eligibility

• Entering Generalist Foundation Year students

• Current Year 1 Part Time students enrolled in Azusa Pacific University’s MSW program with a specialization in Clinical Practice with Individuals and Families.

• Confirmed acceptance by DCFS into the Title IV-E Child Welfare Stipend Program.

Application

• MSW students who are interested in exploring a career in public child welfare are encouraged to apply.  Applications are due in April.  Online applications will be posted on this site in the Spring.

• DCFS social workers are considered essential workers.  As such, face-to-face visits with clients are required following the guidance of state, county, local and university safety guidelines.

• Final Title IV-E Stipend awards are contingent upon final funding of the Title IV-E Stipend UCLA Subaward Grant, anticipated July 1st.
