Spring 2024 Live Zoom Training Session on January 26, 2024 at 9:30am-12:00pm

This course meets the qualifications for two (2) hours of continuing education credit for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, and LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The Department of Social Work is an approved provider of continuing education, per Section 1887.4.3

Cultural and Diversity Considerations for Student Success:
Participants will integrate social, cultural, and personal influences that shape their worldview into social work practice
Participants will understand cultural responsive services and working with bilingual and bicultural interns

Training Objectives:
1) Using Supervision to Address Microaggressions in Practicum Internships (1 hour):
Participants will understand microaggressions and apply strategies in supervision to address microaggressions within social work practicum practicum

2) Social Work Practicum Supervision informed by Christian Discipleship (1 hour):
Participants will synthesize knowledge of social work practicum supervision and concepts of Christian discipleship
Participants will apply concepts of Christian discipleship to address supervisory challenges in practicum

3) Constructing Learning Goals for Faith Integration (30 minutes):
Participants will demonstrate effective goal setting for faith integration (Competency 10)

Fall 2022
1) Trauma Informed Supervision: Participants will identify components of trauma-informed supervision to apply in their supervisory practice with social work interns and enhance student learning outcomes

2) Faith Integration in Practicum ( Practicum Instructor Panel): Participants will synthesize knowledge and application of ethical social work faith integration with student interns in supervision

3) Effective Use of Process Recordings: Participants will discover the usefulness of process recordings as a teaching tool that promotes self-reflection and growth in social work practice skills with their student interns
