All first-time and returning Field Practicum Instructors and Preceptors are invited to complete training sessions of our Field Practicum Instructor Training Series for the 2023-24 academic year. This course meets the qualifications for two (2) hours of continuing education credit for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, and LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The Department of Social Work is an approved provider of continuing education, per Section 1887.4.3

Participants will integrate social, cultural, and personal influences that shape their worldview into social work practice
Participants will understand cultural responsive services and working with bilingual and bicultural interns

Training Objectives:
1) Using Supervision to Address Microaggressions in Field Practicum Internships (1 hour):
Participants will understand microaggressions and apply strategies in supervision to address microaggressions within social work field practicum

2) Social Work Field Practicum Supervision informed by Christian Discipleship (1 hour):
Participants will synthesize knowledge of social work practicum supervision and concepts of Christian discipleship
Participants will apply concepts of Christian discipleship to address supervisory challenges in field practicum

3) Constructing Learning Goals for Faith Integration (30 minutes):
