This course will be provided under Level 1 Jewellery, for 2024. Students will use design thinking to create and refine an outcome that explores the concept of identity. They will have the opportunity to create a wearable art whakakai (adornment) to promote Matariki.

This course will be provided under Level 2 Carpentry, for 2024. It is a BCITO industry approved course, consisting of a range of practical assignments running through the year to support students in a trade pathway. They will continue to study workshop safety, material properties, tools and machinery use, and workshop techniques.

This course provides students with opportunities to support academic study or practical carpentry skills. Course content will be responsive to student choice, with students able to work on carpentry unit standards or product design achievement standards.
