This course is perfect if you enjoy Science however don’t want to commit to one particular domain. In this course you will study three of the major science areas – Biology, Chemistry, and Earth and Space Science. This subject is designed for those students who require some science background for future careers. The standards covered in this course are below however there is the possibility of completing an extra internal.
Oil Spills (ESS 2.1, 91187 v2): Explore the environmental impact of oil spills, their cleanup methods, and oil properties. Understand the challenges and solutions to mitigate these disasters.
Extreme Environments (ESS 2.4, 91190 v2): Study organisms living in harsh habitats, their unique adaptations, and evolution to thrive in the Earth's most challenging ecosystems.
Gas Exchange (BIO 2.3, 91155 v2): Discover gas exchange systems in various species including humans, birds, fish, and insects. Understand their respiratory structures, functions, and adaptations.
Qualitative Analysis (CHEM 2.2, 91190 v2): Learn about qualitative analysis in chemistry, explore chemical equations, identify unknown ions in solutions, and understand the environmental implications of chemical processes.
Recommended Prior Learning: Science Level 1. Cannot be taken with any other Level 2 Science except with HOD approval.
