Course Description
This is a study of Te Reo Māori language, tikanga and kawa of the Māori world in many different contexts. This course develops skills of making inquiries about yourself, and developing communication, written, aural, and oral and comprehension of a variety of familiar Māori texts. You develop basic conversations in Te Reo Māori and be able to write and talk about what has happened in the past, present and future. The topics include Mihi Atu Mihi Mai, Te kōrero mō te ora o te reo i mua i te tau 1970 and Te whakapuaki whakaaro i runga i te āta rere o te reo

Course Description

The Level three course further develops skills of inquiry, critical thinking, communication, written, aural, oral and comprehension of Māori texts. You will gain confidence in conversing in Te Reo in different real life contexts on a variety of topics which include Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Whaikorero, Powhiri, Revitalization of Te Reo Māori, Te Ao Taiohi.
