Students in Carpentry will learn how to design and build their own bedside cabinet using a range of tools and equipment. Students will also develop an understanding of workshop safety, tool use, machinery use and production techniques.

This course provides students with opportunities to support academic study or practical carpentry skills. Course content will be responsive to student choice, with students able to work on carpentry unit standards or product design achievement standards. Projects will include design and construction, and a range of workshop skills.
