Flag Making

The first project we did in World Studies this year is to make our own flags. I spent a while planning and making my flag, and I think it turned out great.

My Flag

This is my artist statement:

Flags are important to identify countries and states, but they can also help represent you. For my flag, I put a musical note in the center. Around it I put two circles, one big and one small. Around the flag, there is a black border. The musical note represents my love for music and how I want to be a music producer. The circles represent ultimate frisbee, and those countdowns before old movies because I like making videos and watching movies. The circle around the musical note is red, and the bigger one is orange. The background is yellow. This represents my colorful personality and my creativity. The black border around the flag represents my love for computer science and coding.

Peer Critique

After we made our artist statement, we had some peer critique.

Peer Critique 1:

Crim

"I really liked all the descriptive words you used and how each thing that represents you is very clear. I understand why the circle = frisbee."

Peer Critique 2:

Jason

"You did a really good job at explaining, and very good choice of words."
