Lamb to the Slaughter: Extension Paragraph
After we read the Lamb to the Slaughter short story by Roald Dahl and Checkouts by Cynthia Rylnant, we were given the choice to write an alternative paragraph for one of the short stories. I chose to write about the Lamb to the Slaughter. In the story, it is not specified what Mary's husband says to her which motivates her to kill him. In the film adaptation, he says that he is cheating on her. For my paragraph, I decided to go with a different and comedic approach, and say that Patrick wants to be a supermodel.

For this assignment, I decided to write about moving and my passion. I wrote the vignette about moving first. I tried to capture how I felt when we moved from California to Idaho in 2019. For my passion vignette, I wrote how I wanted to be an inventor, but then I found a new passion.
