7th grade students are going to build upon their knowledge and experience gained in 5th grade Tech Ed. to produce more technically advanced solutions to engineering challenges. Students will be using CAD (computer aided design software) to engineer and develop possible solutions to these challenges. Also, 7th grade students will be taught how to use more advanced machinery to create their solutions/prototypes.

Throughout the process of engineering design, middle school students are able to work safely with hand and/or power tools, various materials and equipment, and other resources.
