Welcome back!!!  Long time no see - I haven't seen this class since your fifth grade year.  I am looking forward to working with all of you.  During your seventh grade year you will have Computer for one semester.  During this semester we will build off of the skills you have acquired over the last two years here at AMS.  You will create a computer literacy journal, build and populate a personal website portfolio, design and build a truss bridge using computer aided design, GUI and JavaScript coding,  and STEM Career exploration through everfi.com.  You will be researching and focusing on present day computer technology from internet safety to popular social applications. 

Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) knowledge, reasoning, and skills are essential both to prepare students for personal and civic efficacy in the twenty-first century and to prepare and inspire a much larger and more diverse number of students to pursue the innovative and creative careers of the future.
