Grade 5 Classroom Overview

Welcome!!!  We will be building off of the computer skills you have learned during your elementary school years.  This fifth grade year you will have Computer for one semester (1/2 of your school year).  You will learn how to organize your Google drive, create a computer literacy journal, build and populate a personal website portfolio, and will explore / become familiar with other G-Suite applications.  Also during this quarter you will learn GUI coding / programming, keyboarding, spreadsheet charting and computer literacy skills.  

Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) knowledge, reasoning, and skills are essential both to prepare students for personal and civic efficacy in the twenty-first century and to prepare and inspire a much larger and more diverse number of students to pursue the innovative and creative careers of the future.
